Mode of Action and uses

Cymoxanil is a unique penetrant fungicide with protectant and curative activity against downy mildew in vines and other Peronosporacee in potatoes, tomatoes and other vegetables. Alone, it has a very short period of activity, two days at most, but is able to penetrate the crop leaf and control establishing disease infection.

Its post, infection activity stops the development of the fungus during the incubation. Local systemic action improves the effectiveness of companion fungicides, especially during periods of intensive disease pressure. It is used in two, or in three-way mixtures with protectants and/or systemic fungicides.
