Mode of action

Ametryn is a thiotriazine selective systematic herbicide absorbed principally through the roots, but also through the foliage, translocated acropetally in the xylem and accumulated in the apical meristems and leaves.

Site of action

Ametryn binds to the plastoquinone-binding protein in photosystem II, inhibiting electron transport.

Pre and Post-emergence.
